Health Boulevard

During 2009, we are celebrating our 75th anniversary of providing health insurance to New Yorkers.  To commemorate this milestone, we have been hosting a number of activities throughout the year, all leading up to Friday, October 9, 2009 as we transform Manhattan's Herald Square into Health Blvd. – and we'd like you to join us!

Health Blvd. will be an all-day celebration dedicated to providing free health screenings, demonstrations and information to the public, and will be hosted by 1994 gold medal Olympic speed skater Dan Jansen.

Health Blvd. will feature free blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol and glucose screenings, vision screenings, massage therapy, and more!   Tents will open to the public at 8:00am and there will be fitness demonstrations throughout the day, including Yoga Stretch, Hip-Hop Warm-Up and Tai Chi.

You will also have a chance to obtain valuable information from and speak with representatives from a number of organizations, including:

  • The American Diabetes Association
  • New York Road Runners
  • NYU Langone Medical Center
  • SilverSneakers®
  • AIDS Walk NY
  • March of Dimes
  • Gay Men's Health Crisis
  • Committee For Hispanic Children & Families
  • Empire BlueCross BlueShield

We look forward to celebrating our 75th anniversary with you at Health Blvd.!
