Network Update: St. Clare's Sussex to Provide Outpatient Services Only

 

This notice is to inform you that Saint Clare’s Health System (Saint Clare’s-Sussex) has filed a Certificate of Need (CON) application with the State of New Jersey to transform its Sussex County, NJ facility to an outpatient surgical, diagnostic and treatment facility including an emergency department. Therefore, Saint Clare’s-Sussex will no longer provide inpatient services effective 12/31/2012. **Please note that the discontinuation of inpatient services will impact all Empire members seeking inpatient services only. All Empire members with Empire HMO, HMO/POS, EPO, PPO, and Indemnity can continue to access Saint Clare’s-Sussex for Emergency Care and outpatient services**.

Also be assured that Empire has a broad hospital and provider network in the service areas where St. Clare’s-Sussex is located and continues to have a robust network of participating hospitals, physicians, radiology centers, ambulatory centers and other providers capable of providing healthcare services for our members at numerous convenient locations throughout Sussex County and the surrounding areas.
