Important information regarding EFT Remittances
We have identified an issue with the EFT Bank Account Number field on certain remittances sent from Empire. As of December 18, 2013, the bank account number that was populated in the EFT Bank Account Number field was the Payor bank account number and not the destination/payee account for the EFT. We are in the process of updating this field on future remittances to show the Payee bank account number.
This field is informational only. The EFT transaction created to deposit the amount shown on the remittance was still deposited into your designated bank account. This notice is provided for information only, and no action is required on your behalf. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Participating Providers/Facilities - Get connected with Electronic Funds Transfer

Stop waiting for your check to arrive in the mail. Empire can automatically deposit your claims payment through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). It’s all about convenience, safety and faster payment. This transaction is available at no cost.
Advantages of Electronic Funds Transfer
EFT is a safe, secure and modern alternative to paper checks. Transactions are processed by the bank through the Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) network, the secure transfer system that connects all U.S. financial institutions. Providers who use EFT may notice the following benefits:
Administrative savings — faster access to funds may improve cash flow
Avoid lost checks and fraud
Eliminate the cumbersome process of manually logging your deposit information
Less manual intervention
Easier reconciliation of payments with bank statements

The EFT enrollment process is simple
Providers seeking to register or manage account changes for EFT, will need to use the Council for Affordable Quality Health Care (CAQH) Enrollment Tool, a secure electronic EFT registration platform.
Your check isn’t en route to your office… it’s already in your account!
