Dental Coverage With Empire Medicare Plans
Empire offers dental coverage packages to complement certain Medicare plans. The majority of Medicare Advantage plans already include dental care, such as exams, X-rays, and more.
If you only have Original Medicare‡, it doesn’t cover teeth cleanings, dental exams, X-rays, or common dental issues such as root canals, fillings, implants, and crowns. However, dental exams and cleanings are important, as they can reveal early signs of illness and prevent future issues.

Dental Coverage With Medicare Advantage
The majority of our Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans include benefits for prescription drugs, dental, vision, and hearing. What your plan covers will vary depending on where you live, but typically includes:
Two yearly teeth cleanings
Two yearly dental exams
Dental X-rays
Some Medicare Advantage plans also have optional supplemental benefits that will boost your dental and vision coverage for an additional premium. You can add these benefits up to 90 days after your plan starts.
